Enjoy beers brewed on-site at Pariah Brewing while potting up your choice of aroid and learning all about this wonderful family of plants! All members of the Araceae family, aroids are a highly diversified group of plants, known for their ease of care and propagation and beautiful foliage. Learn all about them at our next collaborative workshop with Pariah Brewing. Choose from a selection of climbing aroids (Monstera, Philodendron, Syngonium, Raphidophera, Eupremnum, etc) to pot up in a cylindrical terra cotta planter. We'll be bringing our own shop-made blend of aroid soil mix to give your new plant the perfect amount of moisture retention. Lastly, we'll have bamboo stakes for everyone to give your aroid the support it will need as it keeps growing! We'll also do a deep dive on the botany of aroids - how they survive/grow in the wild, what types of characteristics they share, how to best care for them and how to successfully propagate/regrow them! Ticket includes one free 12oz pour from Pariah. This event will kick off at 6PM with a tour of Pariah's brewing operation, and a chance for you to grab a beer and settle in! At 6:30PM, we'll get started with the class. Hope to see you then! Pariah Brewing Company opened for business on Feb 11, 2017 in San Diego, CA and we just celebrated our 5th Anniversary. We reached max capacity in 2019 (i.e. we couldn’t brew more beer if we tried) and were looking for a perfect spot for expansion but also to capitalize on our distribution needs as a bicoastal brewery. We came across a familiar location previously utilized by Baltimore-based brewery, Union Craft Brewing and long short, very short, agreed to take over this space. Our CEO and Distribution Manager have over 30 years of combined experience in both brewing and distribution and are both native to Baltimore and Maryland. We took this opportunity for expansion as a homecoming of sorts, establishing our secondary location in the Hampden/Woodberry area of Baltimore, MD. We are thrilled to be a part of Maryland beer and share our handcrafted, flavor focused beer selection with this community. We're happy to be home.
