Denver Trout Unlimited would like to invite you to the South Platte Symposium – an expert panel discussion about fly fishing on Denver’s South Platte River. DTU will be hosting this two hour in-person event April 20th, 2022 - 6:30PM – 8:30PM River North Brewery – Located at 3400 Blake Street, Denver, CO 80205 The South Platte Symposium will include a group of fly fishing subject matter experts and die-hard anglers including: Barry “The Godfather” ReynoldChris GalvinMike MedinaDaryl EakinsDave Maynard Patrick MapesRick MikesellThe topics covered will include the river course and topography through this urban corridor, fly fishing gear and tackle, species, fishing strategies, fly selection, and how-to tips and tricks for anyone who has never fished DTU’s home water before. The panel discussion will be hosted by Will Rice and attendees will also have the opportunity to pose questions to all of the panel members. Have you been thinking about ways to fish closer to home or experience pinnacle sight fishing right here in Denver? This is your chance to learn from the experts. Or, if you have been fishing on the South Platte before, this event will help take your fishing to the next level. In addition to the lively discussion, Denver Trout Unlimited will host a fundraising raffle/silent auction with all proceeds going towards efforts to help improve this section of the South Platte River, community education/participation, and other membership outreach activities.
