I need to remodel a gold ring

I have a family heirloom that is extremely important to me. It is a gold ring passed down from my great grandmother. The ring is thin and too small for me. It has broken several times and been soldered/fixed several times only to break again. As you can see from the first few photos, it is a plain gold ring. The last photo is an example of what I would like the finished ring to look like, just a plain gold ring, no settings or anything else. I need a jeweler in the tristate area (NY, NJ, CT) who can remodel the ring, meaning melt it down, add gold, and make a new, thicker/stronger gold ring. Also, I would prefer if there was a way to make the ring a solid loop without any endpoints soldered together, if possible. There are a number of places online that offer remodeling services but I would prefer to oversee the process with a local jeweler to ensure that the ring is actually remade and not swapped out for a premade gold ring. I am aware that it can take more than a day to do remodeling like this.
