4 year old, female, wild coloring axolotl. Her name is Axle. She never had floof on her gills, I've tried everything to get them to grow. She was a science classroom pet, but the teacher is quitting. Now she needs a new home that understands her diet, constant water level checks, and temperature needs. SHE MAY NOT BE USED FOR BREEDING - I don't know her genealogy - She eats earth worms (we buy them from Petsmart or Petco). Following an axolotl group on Facebook will help give you a lot of information. She needs low water temperatures around 68F. We've been trying to keep fans, but it's making all the water evaporate. She needs someone willing to buy her an aquarium chiller (usually around $400). If interested in just her, we can discuss a rehome fee if I can bring her to see her new home.
