Recent advancements in technique and technology lead to better, more predictable outcomes, and at greater ease and speed than ever before. In this lecture, we aim to refresh your memory about classic endo, update you on recent advancements, and show you the WaveOne technique with a hands on session. This portion of the event will be presented by Dr. Robert Hochberg, DDS We are also including an Introduction to 3-D Imaging for the general practitioner. This introduction will include an introduction to CBCT (Axios) imaging, examples of when it is appropriate to take a conebeam, discussion of different fields of view and their use, radiation doses, workflows for CBCT in the general practice, and digital workflows from scanning to CBCT. He attended college at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA, graduating with B.S. in Ecology and Plant Physiology (2010). From there, he moved back north to NYC where he attended NYU College of Dentistry, graduating with his DDS in 2014. During dental school, he was awarded the Predoctoral Student Achievement award in 2014 by the American Association of Endodontists. Following dental school, he completed Endo residency at NYU in 2016, where he was chief resident both years, and was awarded a top 10 poster presentation during the research session of the annual meeting of the AAE in 2016, in San Francisco. Despite living on the East Coast his entire life, he and his wife Monica made their way to the Land of Enchantment first by way of their destination wedding in Santa Fe in June of 2018, and then permanently to Albuquerque in January, 2019. He and his wife enjoy discovering what New Mexico has to offer in the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family, and traveling. Dr. Rob employs the most modern techniques available in Endodontics in full-time private practice, encompassing non-surgical endodontics, apicoectomy and other surgical procedures including intentional replantation, and regenerative endodontics. He maintains continuing education with the University of Pennsylvania Department of Endodontics, Spear Institute, and more. Dr. Robert Kerschen Dr. Kerschen is an Albuquerque native who graduated from Sandia High School in 1995. He attended UNM on a baseball and academic scholarship. He graduated from Tufts Dental School in 2004 and returned to New Mexico as GP for the Isleta Dental Clinic. Dr. Kerschen completed an Implant Preceptorship in 2009 at UT-San Antonio, became a fellow in the ICOI (International Congress of Oral Implantologists), and purchased a private practice. In 2016 Dr. Kerschen built a new office with Henry Schein and in 2017 was named KOL (Key Opinion Leader) with Henry Schein. Shortly after DS mentor, CEREC, primescan, and Axios CBCT owner.
