WOONSOCKET, RI — Woonsocket Mayor Lisa Baldelli-Hunt announced on Thursday new protocols to allow for government services to collect documents and payments while city hall is closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. Woonsocket City Hall is closed until further notice.
"This will allow for the good health and safety of residents, other consumers and employees," Mayor Baldelli-Hunt said.
There will be a drop box located in the tax assessor's vestibule to be used for land evidence records that need to be recorded, and for city tax, water and sewer payments. It is available to the public from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Leave only checks and money orders. Do not leave cash.
Land evidence records should include a phone number and self-addressed return envelope. Email the city clerk to make sure the records are received and recorded at [email protected]. City taxes can be paid online or with a check mailed to City of Woonsocket, City Clerk, P.O. Box B, Woonsocket, RI 02895.
