Please join us Friday April 8th, 5:30-6:30pm for a presentation on historic preservation hosted by Lark Mason with an exhibition to follow. New Thoughts on Old Houses: Historic Preservation in New Braunfels with Luke Speckman and Katie Totman. Hear from Luke about historic preservation, past and current projects for the New Braunfels Conservation Society, followed by a moderated discussion between Lark Mason and Luke. Moderator, Katie Totman is the New Braunfels Historic Preservation Officer. The collection of Elton M. Hyder Jr. Charitable and Educational Fund will be on exhibit in the Lark Mason Gallery and features works from the 17th-19th century. The Fund is a donor of Historic Fort Worth along with several preservation projects. Event Discussion: 5:30-6:30pm Seating is limited, please RSVP for the evening discussion. Hyder, Jr. Charitable and Educational Fund and other CollectionsThe sale includes furniture ranging from Baroque to mid-century modern and a wide variety paintings, including works by Charles Wimar (1828-1862), Dr. Atl (1875-1964), and Albrecht Durer (1471-1528). Furniture and fine art from the collection of Elton M. Hyder and Martha Rowan Hyder is included in the sale. The Hyder’s eldest son Brent has taken the helm of the Elton M.
