Description
TAMPA, FL — The eighth annual Tampa Bay Design Week will offer eight different events in Tampa and St. Petersburg April 2 to 10.
Architecture and design-related tours, an outdoor Sip and Sketch at The Pier and a Fibonacci Fete, a party celebrating architect Harry Wolf's design of the NCNB cylindrical tower and adjacent cube in downtown Tampa are planned.
Tampa Bay Design Week is produced by the Center for Architecture & Design, Tampa Bay, with partner organizations.
"We have a great lineup of tours this year including restored historic homes, behind the scenes of Hotel Haya in Ybor City and St. Petersburg High School" said Rachel Radawec, festival chair. "We offer the unique opportunity to not only see behind the scenes, but to hear from the architects who designed them, which offers interesting insight you'd never know otherwise."
Design Week is a volunteer-led program which promotes the understanding and appreciation of architecture and design. It takes place each April.
