Learn Conga in 15 Minutes How would you like to learn to play "Congas" in 15 minutes? I'm excited to share with you new ways to learn for almost all ages. Known as "Tumbao," "Marcha," or "Rhythm Pattern," learn to play this basic Conga pattern used in today's most popular music in just 15 minutes. In this two-hour audience performance, I introduce you to the history of how Conga drums have influenced American music (8 minutes), followed by a "15-minute Conga" session, where the audience plays jazz, rock, latin, soul for 60-70 minutes , Funk, R&B and Pop. The course ends with the "Saints' March Check-in". During the show, I also play several copies of Conga Rhythyms from my recently published book, hoping to give the audience a sense of the instrument's history. Participants will take home a free printed copy of the music they just learned to practice at home. No experience required. Learn to play the most popular rhythm patterns, and learn to read the note "guarantee". Play together and enjoy a one-of-a-kind experience. This is an audience engagement show.
