Press release from North Haven Memorial Library: March 29, 2022 Please join the North Haven Memorial Library for a reception to welcome North Haven's inaugural Poet Laureate, Gabriella Brand, on Saturday, April 23 at 2 p.m. The reception will be held in the Library's Community Room and include a presentation by Gabriella on her background with writing and what it means to be North Haven's Poet Laureate. A reading of her poems and questions from the audience will follow. Gabriella's fiction, essays, and poetry have appeared in more than fifty literary magazines. Gabriella is a Pushcart Prize nominee and the recipient of several poetry awards. She also teaches in the OLLI (Osher Lifelong Learning Institute) at UCONN. Light refreshments, sponsored by the Friends of the North Haven Library, will be provided. Registration is required.
