COVID-19 Testing No Longer Needed For HCPSS Students, Staff

HOWARD COUNTY, MD — Not only are students and student-athletes with the Howard County Public School System no longer required to show proof of vaccination or undergo COVID-19 testing any longer, HCPSS employees also no longer are required to provide proof of full vaccination or undergo regular weekly COVID-19 testing. Contracted staff who work for before- and after-care and other service providers, such as bus drivers, no longer are required to implement a vaccine or testing requirement for employees, either. Visitors and volunteers no longer are required to provide proof of vaccination when entering a school building, too. MAKO Medical will continue to provide weekly testing opportunities for the following asymptomatic groups: HCPSS staffHCPSS contractorsHCPSS student interns School staff and students who develop symptoms during the school day are able to receive a rapid test in the school health room.
