HARLEM, NY — An argument between two straphangers turned violent when one man slashed the other's chest in a subway car in Harlem last weekend, according to police. A 40-year-old man and the suspected slasher began to argue on a northbound 3 train stopped at the Harlem-148th Street station about 11:40 p.m. Sunday, police said. The suspect then took out a knife, slashed the victim then fled the train and the station, according to police. His victim was taken to Harlem Hospital in stable condition, police said. Police released footage Tuesday evening of the suspect leaving the station, and asked anyone with information to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-57-PISTA (74782).
