Craft and Vendor Show benefiting the Bobby Grofe Kidney Fund. Our friends from Meadowcrest Animal Rescue will be bring their Petting Zoo on Saturday, and on Sunday they will be bringing bunnies and chicks for Easter Photo Ops. We will have indoor and outdoor booths. 100% of our lottery scratch off poster valued at at least $100 goes to the Bobby Grofe Kidney Fund. Tickets are 6 for $5. You do not have to be in attendance to win. The winning ticket will be pulled at 2 pm on Sunday, April 10th. Bobby started playing guitar at age 15, and has been entertaining our community for the past 20 years in bands such as Overphlow, Revved, The Michael Lynn Band, and About Time StL that he created with his wife, Mandy. He has played many benefit events and fundraisers at Hot Spot in High Ridge, MO and other local venues. There are no medical benefits in playing music, but it makes people happy in times of need. It is time to help someone who has helped so many others in the last 20 years. Bobby Grofe posted the news on his Facebook page in early March, " I have a chronic kidney disease called IGA nephropathy. My kidney function is down to about 10%, which is causing me to sleep non stop, feel like complete crap all the time. I'm getting tests done now, and hopefully within the next month or so, start dialysis until I get a kidney transplant. I plan to still keep on rocking, just might be a little out of it every once in a while.... Lol" He has done music for our events in the past. Now it is time for us to do something for him.
