Here are the top 3 stories in Buffalo today: This Tuesday, three Buffalo police officers were shot in the midst of a 40-minute car chase that spanned all across the city. As of Wednesday morning, one officer was in stable condition, whereas the two other officers faced injuries that were not severe. The shooting occurred in two separate locations, in separate patrol cars during the chase. Buffalo police have since arrested two people who were following the chase, and one was sent to the hospital. (Buffalo Patch) A $3 million EPA grant has been gifted to The Great Lakes Center at Buffalo State College to aid in its work in the Great Lakes. In an effort to restore and keep the Great Lakes healthy, this money will go towards keeping the water clean and taking care of the ecosystem. This grant will allot Buffalo State the resources it needs to continue research through the year 2028.
