ARNOLD, MD — A pedestrian was fatally struck Tuesday in Arnold, police said. Officers identified the victim as 33-year-old Eric Crawford of Arnold. Authorities got a call around 10:20 p.m. about a pedestrian walking in the travel lanes. Police said they responded to the 1200 block of northbound Ritchie Highway and found the crash. Officers said the victim was struck by a 2012 Nissan Versa. The pedestrian was wearing dark, non-reflective clothing. The Anne Arundel County Fire Department pronounced the victim dead on the scene, a press release said. The driver of the sedan was not hurt.
