Here are the top three stories today in New Orleans: Police are investigating after a shooting in Central City on Tuesday morning left one person dead and one person injured. NOPD responded to a call around 3:45 am at the intersection of South Derbingy and Josephine streets where they found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Nonprofits have envisioned solar-powered shelters for citizens to charge their phones, cool down or food distribution when electricity fails. (WDSU New Orleans) Two pre-teen girls are facing charges of aggravated second-degree battery after reportedly stabbing another young girl in New Orleans East on Sunday. There has been no update on the victim's condition.
