Press release from the City of New Orleans: March 24, 2022 NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Recreation Development (NORD) Commission today announced that it is seeking individuals, organizations and other entities in the city to apply for program partnerships for 2022 and 2023. Providers may apply to host programs at any of NORD's recreation centers, parks or playgrounds at no cost. Applications must be submitted by 4 p.m. on Friday, April 8. NORD is prioritizing partners whose programs serve youth, teens, adults, seniors and those with special needs. However, all interested may apply. Programming categories include: After School Programs (Academic and Enrichment) Special Needs Programs (Athletics and Enrichment) Cultural Arts (Drumming, Dance, Sewing, Crafts, Mardi Gras Beading, Costuming, Theater) Fitness (Indoor Cycling, Youth Fitness, Step Aerobics, Run Club) Once an application is approved, the provider will be required to enter into a Cooperative Endeavor Agreement (CEA) with the City of New Orleans prior to program activation.
