Press release from the Jefferson Parish Government: March 28, 2022 JEFFERSON, LA – Starting tomorrow (Tuesday, March 29, 2022), one northbound and one southbound lane of Destrehan Ave. at Patriot St. will be closed daily from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Additionally, Patriot St. between Destrehan Ave. and 1st St. will be closed. The intersection of Destrehan Ave. and Patriot St. will be completely closed; however, local access to the businesses on Patriot St. between Destrehan Ave. and 1st St. will be maintained. Motorists traveling on Destrehan Ave. will merge to the two open lanes. Motorists trying to access Patriot St. from Destrehan Ave. will detour to 1st St. The closure is necessary to repave the roadway at a cost of $115,837.76.
