Lloyd Expressway Meetings Set For This Week

By John Gibson, WNIN March 29, 2022 Public meetings are set for this week to discuss planned improvements to Evansville's Lloyd Expressway. The Lloyd4U group has scheduled both an in-person and a virtual meeting. The in-person meeting is Tuesday evening, at the City View facility on Fulton Ave., just north of the Lloyd. The online meeting is scheduled for Thursday. Project Spokeswoman Peterson says preliminary plans for the $100 million dollar investment include new left turn lanes away from intersections. Peterson says no new interchanges are planned for the Lloyd due to high costs. Preliminary plans call for closing what are considered four "minor access points" along the Lloyd.
