Description

By Sarah Kuper, WNIN March 29, 2022 The Evansville Water and Sewer Utility will begin its yard waste service next week. Spring yard cleaning is in full swing for Evansville area residents and all that yard work can lead to a lot of organic matter that's got to go to make way for flowering beds and healthy grass. EWSU officials say customers can begin dragging that trash to the curb on Monday April 4th. It will be picked up on whatever day your trash is usually collected. Materials like grass clippings, hedge and tree trimmings, and plants must be contained in plastic bags or tied in bundles no more than four feet long weighing less than 50 pounds. The waste should be placed next to your city trash bin. The spring yard waste service runs until April 29th. During this time there is no limit to the amount of trash accepted. During the rest of the year, yard waste can be put inside the regular 96-gallon trash cart. WNIN is the NPR/PBS affiliate in Evansville, Indiana.
