Drop by for a casual open house and welcome reception with Dan Reuter, Chattanooga's newly appointed Director of Planning. You're invited to an upcoming Open House for networking and meet-and-greet with Dan Reuter. Dan is Mayor Tim Kelly's recently appointed director of the Department of City Planning as well as executive director of the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Regional Planning Agency. WHEN: Monday, April 4th, 4:30 - 7:00 pm  WHERE: Waterhouse Pavilion at Miller Plaza, 850 Market St, Chattanooga Complimentary drinks and hors d'oeuvres will be provided. Hosted by Chattanooga Design Studio in partnership with The Benwood Foundation. Stop by next Monday and help us give Dan a warm Chattanooga welcome! ********* Dan Reuter serves a dual role as Administrator of the Department of City Planning and Executive Director of the Regional Planning Agency. Dan has worked in planning, transportation and development issues in Georgia for 30 years. During that period, he managed many projects that supported regional and local government planning, Community Improvement Districts (CIDs) and redevelopment in metro Atlanta. He managed Land Use and Community Development at the Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) from 1999 to 2016 and was an adjunct professor at Georgia Tech City and Regional Planning program from 2004 to 2008. He is a Fellow of the American Institute of Certified Planners (FAICP), he has served since 2005 as a member of the APA Legislative and Policy Committee. He is a past Chair of the APA Regional Planning Division where he launched the Livable Communities Forum and he served as President of the Georgia Planning Association.
