PORTLAND, OR — Did you hear about the time that Winnie the Pooh, Charlie Brown, Mickey and Minnie Mouse and a couple of hundred of their friends came to Oregon and broke down along Interstate 5? Well, that's what happened on Wednesday morning. Kind of. Around 10:30 a.m., Oregon Department of Transportation workers found hundreds of toys lining the side of southbound I-5 by the Burnside Bridge, the department said. How they got there is a mystery. Officials suspected somehow a truck lost part of its load. At the same time, the toys were pretty much lined up along the shoulder. This "Toy Story" did not cause much of a backup, though the department did close a lane for about one hour while the stuffed animals were gathered. Department spokesman Don Hamilton said the toys have been brought to its North Portland Maintenance Yard for "care, cuddles and feeding." If you're missing around 300 toys, reach out to the Oregon Department of Transportation.
