Also on Craigslist as a rehome fee pretending it’s there pet with no pictures or bogus Story why they can’t keep they post a similar animals other then your animal so you don’t recognize your pet … they also edit the photo or not show the whole pic of the animal to throw you off and when you show up it’s a totally different cat or dog popular cats /dogs are being ripped away from their intended forever homes and sold to unsuspecting buyers. they are pretending to be a Rescue, foster adoption or person who found your pet trapping cats is a big money making scam. there is no way that pets with collars and pure breed are missing everyday and never found again Look up to 100 miles away as they will take your pet to the opposite side of the city to rehome so it looks like it wouldn’t be them that far away Cats are considered "free roaming" animals by law, which makes responsible pet ownership even more important. Dog/Cat napping is the crime of taking a dog from its owner. The word is derived from the term kidnapping. Historically in the United States, dogs had been stolen and sold on for medical research, but the introduction of the Animal Welfare Act of 1966 reduced these occurrences. These so called scam Rescues are trapping animals to be rehomed for $$adopted out $$ Sold for profits. why do you think so many Phoenix animals are missing everyday but never to be found , but yet there are so many pets to rehome for sale daily some rescue groups and individuals that are, in fact, trapping neighborhood pets and re-selling them at PetSmart/PetCo., Craigslist rehoming acting like it’s there pet or they found it There are not going to be expensive pets roaming the streets…. These pets are like Family. The point is...there are obviously belong to a family or someone’s pet with a collar !! Don't need to be "rescued"...they need to be left alone so they can come home. And I realize it is not PetSmart/PetCo selling the cats...it is just their adoption area that the local trappers use. Search the all pets sites for sale and rehome you will find your pet on other side of the city up to 100 miles Fake rescue groups are a danger to the welfare of many abandoned animals. Sadly, there has been an upsurge in investigations of “self-proclaimed rescues.” These rescues are often charged with hoarding, unacceptable living conditions, neglect and even abuse. The true tragedy for the animals who end up at these self-proclaimed rescues is they suffer more there than they did at the shelters or even living on the streets.
