Description
DUBLIN, CA – T.J. Costello and Zane Holmes each homered, Jackson Schofield pitched four strong innings, and Dublin High defeated Amador Valley 9-4 in an East Bay Athletic League game on Friday.
Costello was 2 for 3 with two RBI and Holmes knocked in three runs as the Gaels (6-4-1, 1-3) won their first league game after an 0-3 start.
Schofield (5-0) struck out five and gave up one run on four hits and two walks.
Cole Gaynor pitched three innings for the save. He struck out six, walked one and gave up three runs and three hits.
Dublin is scheduled to play first-place Foothill (10-1, 4-0) at Foothill Wednesday at 4 p.m.
