DETROIT — A man was arrested Wednesday morning after he fired shots at state police from a Detroit home while troopers were investigating outside the home, Michigan State Police said. Officials said state troopers were outside a Detroit home at 6:45 a.m. at 8811 W. Outer Drive when a man from the home's upper floor began firing shots at the troopers. The troopers formed a perimeter in the area around the home and obtained a search warrant from district officials, police said. State troopers then raided the home and arrested the man they said fired shots at the officers without incident. Troopers also seized several firearms in the house, officials said. No injuries were reported by officials in the shooting or while troopers executed the search warrant. Officials were still investigating the shooting and searching the home, and were expected to release more information soon.
