Seasonal position. Candidate will assist with seedling transplants and upshifting plants to larger container sizes. Assist with collecting and sticking cuttings. Filling containers with potting soil. Sorting, consolidating plants and disposing of dead plant material. Pulling weeds in containers and in the landscape. Pruning plants in containers and in the landscape. Fertilizing plants in containers and in the landscape. Sweeping and cleaning out greenhouses and growing spaces. Mowing lawn and weed eating the landscape. Assist with various maintenance tasks. Other duties as assigned.
Willingness to work long hours in hot and humid environments.
Ability to work outside for extended periods of time.
Ability to operate lawnmowers, weed eaters and various power tools.
Ability to communicate and work well with others.
Bilingual in English / Spanish is not required but greatly appreciated.
Ability to coordinate both within and between departments.
Willing to work flexible hours and some weekends.
