LLK provides multiple services which include commercial and institutional greenhouse design, construction of greenhouses, maintenance, and emergency repair services. LLK Greenhouse Solutions is currently growing its construction team and looking for Greenhouse Construction Laborers who love working outdoors, enjoy physical work/traveling, have a positive attitude, motivation, adaptability, and great communication skills. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Assist the construction team with the construction of greenhouses, maintenance, and emergency repairs by performing the following duties: Adherence to company and OSHA safety rules, requirements, practices, and procedures. while effectively working every day. Able to handle strenuous work while working in all weather conditions, indoors/outdoors. Perform manual labor-intensive tasks, i.e., heavy lifting, etc. Ability to follow/understand basic directions verbally and written to complete tasks assigned by supervisor and/or supervisor. Ability to communicate effectively and maintain good working relationships with customers, co-workers, and contract employees. Clean and/or prepare construction site; clean up poly, remove debris and garbage, etc. Prepare tools and hand over materials required to complete task assignments. Assist in the assembly of greenhouse structures by creating and strapping materials. Learn, develop, and use skills in greenhouse construction through observation and experience. Ability to learn/train and operate a variety of equipment while adhering to all safety rules, i.e., scissor lifts, forklifts, etc. Responsible for properly handling company machinery, power tools, and heavy equipment. Ability to perform all assigned tasks while working at heights. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required. Two or more years of construction trade school or experience is a plus. Candidates with OSHA 10-hour training and/or equipment operation certification a plus. Communication Skills: Must be able to communicate in English and/or Spanish clearly and effectively. Ability to effectively communicate and work with a diverse group of individuals. Able to read/write basic construction/safety forms in English and/or Spanish. Mathematical Skills: Must have a general knowledge of measurements. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Reasoning Ability: Must possess the ability to work with various personalities and maintain good relations with coworkers and other staff members. Organizational Skills: Must have the ability to multi-task. Attendance/Punctuality: Sets the standard for attendance expectations by arriving at work on time and staying through the entire workday. Attendance and punctuality are required. Ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent. Works extra hours when required.
