SANTA MONICA, CA — Santa Monica firefighters were responding to downed wires early Wednesday. The wires were reported down in the 2400 block of Santa Monica Boulevard about 8:11 a.m. Firefighters cleared the incident by 8:39 a.m. Officials asked drivers to avoid the area during the investigation, warning them to expect possible traffic delays.
