SMITHFIELD, RI —Smithfield teens looking for paid summer work are urged to check out the Tri-County Career Exploration & Work Preparation programs for students. Tri-County is offering new "virtual career exploration" programs for students across Rhode Island. All candidates must complete an application to be considered. Due to the coronavirus heath emergency, the application process has been moved online. Once the online application has been completed and submitted, someone will be in touch to answer any questions about which program is more appropriate based on age, availability and interests. Programs are open to those entering sixth grade and older. Space is limited in the programs and deadlines are upcoming. Links to the program details are available here, here and here.
