Description

SMITHFIELD, RI — The Restore RI small business grant program is once again accepting applications for small businesses to receive up to $15,000 in grants to offset losses experienced during the coronavirus health crisis. The program opened for "round two" of the program on Saturday that provides money on a first-come, first-serve basis. Completing the Restore RI grant application is a two-step process. The first step of the application process is to complete the pre-qualification form, which is available here. Completing the prequalification form (Step 1) does not count as submitting a completed application. The second step is the application itself. After applicants complete the prequalification form, they will receive an email from CRF (our partner in administering this program) confirming receipt. This email will come from the email domain crfusa.com. Within two business days, eligible applicants will receive a follow up email from their processor at CRF with a link to create an account for completing Step 2 of the application. Once applicants create an account with CRF, they must complete the full application through CRF's online portal. "As the second round of this funding opportunity opens, our local businesses should begin getting ready to apply now, as some documentation may take some time to organize," Smithfield officials posted with the grant application. Applications will be time stamped when completed and will be reviewed in the order they are received. Only completed applications (those that completed both steps of the application process) will be reviewed.
