BRENTWOOD, CA — A 26-year-old hiker sustained a significant fall—greater than 30 feet—early Tuesday and is in serious condition with traumatic injuries, Los Angeles Fire Department officials said. The incident was reported about 10:11 a.m. near 1686 N. Capri Dr., LAFD spokesperson Margaret Stewart said. "A hoist operation is being prepared and the patient will be transported to a trauma center," officials said. No further details were immediately available.
