Description
We are very heartbroken to be posting this but we are looking to rehome our beloved dog, Gimli. We are planning to move across the country and my elderly mother will be joining us in the new home due to her declining health. Unfortunately Gimli is too big to make the journey as well as too big for her small little dog to be safe around due to him wanting to chase her. Gimli is very affectionate and loving, he will have you laughing with his goofy antics all day long and want to be snuggled with you every minute he is able. He loves his tug rope, stuffed fox toy and anything he is allowed to chew on. He is NOT neutered and has been kept up to date on all his vaccinations and grooming appointments (every 2-3 months). He has been raised around young children, a medium sized dog and a cat but would benefit most from being the ONLY dog unless an experienced handler can safely introduce him to dogs either medium to his size. Older children 10+ would also be recommended as he is so big, he can easily knock little ones over. We do not feel comfortable allowing him to be rehomed with small children due to that so this aspect is not negotiable. He loves to run outside and chase after the morning birds before he comes in to flop at your feet for a nap. He LOVES to play in water, especially a summer time kiddie pool. If you work from home or a stay at home parent, he'll absolutely keep you the best company. Please keep in mind, he is a true puppy at heart and will need consistent training as Saints are often slow learners as well as stubborn, it usually takes them 18 months to fully mature. He will come with his large bag of food, bowl, his favorite toys, KONG leash and collar and his blanket. It would mean the world to us to know someone with experience of this breed, or giant breeds, can give him a chance at a new life where he will be spoiled, loved and have the patience it takes. We love this dog so much and would have peace of mind knowing he is going to a good place. If you think he is a good fit for you, feel free to contact me. We are asking a $100 rehome fee.
