Description

Bella Dearie came from an irresponsible breeder who has been shut down for animal abuse in the past. The breeder reopened under a different name, and we were unaware of her status with bunnies until after we had bought Bella. Her troubles didn’t show up till well into her life with us. Bella herself is a beautiful sable magpie VM and perfect in every way. She is the sweetest bunny in my herd and it breaks my heart to have to let her go because of this! Her trouble is called malocclusion. This is when the bottom teeth grow up over the top teeth. It requires monthly trimming or one-time surgical tooth removal. We pledge not to have genetic problems of any sort in our rabbitry, so we must let her go. I got her teeth trimmed a month ago and they are beginning to grow back. I am looking for a loving, furever pet home where she could be spayed and taken care of as she deserves. The only other option we have, if no one reaches out, is a shelter or euthanization (both of which we strongly feel are unnecessary since Bella is so young and has so much love left to give.) We are open to offers on her rehoming fee, but we also must be sure you are financially able to cover her dental trims and therefore cannot give her away. Please reach out to us directly if you are interested in Bella. We are going to be picky about her home, and we would love if you had experience with bunnies.
