* Full Benefits * Competitive Pay * Great location * The Manager of Training & Quality Control designs, develops, implements and tracks the training and development of managers and technicians in the Maintenance Department. This position reviews diagnostic practices, facilitates customer service improvements and develops processes to ensure that the department operates in a safe, efficient and productive manner. Bachelor’s degree in maintenance or a business related field (degree can be substituted with experience on a year-for-year basis, up to four years); At least five years of experience in corporate training, development or compliance; Experience in maintenance management dealing with fleets of more than 1,000 units, including trucks, trailers, industrial equipment, composting equipment, material handlers, conveyors, compactors, excavation equipment, forklifts, welding equipment, pickup trucks, trash trucks, and support equipment; Demonstrated experience of training and developing high performance teams; Ability to implement effective process improvements; Experience with inventory management, federal motor carrier safety regulations, DOT regulations and OSHA regulations; Working knowledge of general business practices; Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access; Demonstrated critical thinking skills; Ability to be effective in a privately-held company; Professional appearance and demeanor and the ability to work well with all levels of staff; A track record of demonstrating sound judgement; Must be results-oriented with the ability to focus on the bottom line and understand the company’s complexities and nuances; Demonstrated sense of integrity; Demonstrated understanding of the company’s mission and business model and affinity for working in a collaborative environment; Strong leadership skills with a “servant-leader” mentality to achieve strict timelines; and Ability to establish priorities and manage workload. Experience developing training programs; Experience collaborating with workers in multiple facilities and remote locales; Maintenance management/supervisory certificates and training; Knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) regulations; Safety, OSHA and Mine Safety & Health Administration (MSHA) training certificates; Computerized Maintenance Management Software (CMMS) training; and Lean/Six Sigma training. Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License; Record of safe driving for the last three years as shown on current MVR, with no serious accidents or traffic violations. *Texas Disposal Systems is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
