SUMMARY: This individual will be responsible for general support tasks for Operations as assigned by their Operations Manager. The main responsibility for this role will be controlling traffic inside a busy distribution center. Individual will need to direct freight trailers to accurate lanes and ensure that the flow of traffic is running smoothly. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to identify and maintain safety awareness in a noisy and fast paced warehouse work environment. Flexible and adaptable to changing work assignments, based on customer needs and manager assignments. Ability to lift approximately 20lbs when needed. Ability to stand, to walk, and work on feet for majority or all of shift. Ability to read customer labels to accurately to complete assignments. Ability to distinguish different colors to perform assigned duties. Maintain a clean work environment throughout shift, and at times helping to keep debris clear and manageable in support of operations. Attention to detail and direct trailers with many things going on at once. OTHER DUTIES include the following: Ensuring distribution center workspace is kept clean and organized. Adhering to safety and food safety standards. Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS: High achiever/performer-strive for maximum service needs Results oriented Trench worker willing and ready to perform any job necessary Good planner-manages time well Ability to work as a team member-works as a co-worker Good communicator- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently Warehouse experience helpful but not necessary Must be at least 18 years old. Good written and verbal communication skills. Good time management skills. Must have a positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 1 year of warehouse environment highly preferred, but not required. High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
