SEEKING MUSICIANS / VOCALISTS who might be interested in being part of a casual and friendly group getting together Sunday afternoons to make music purely for the fun of it. We are mostly older players/singers who have been doing this going on 10 years now - or at least we were until COVID shut us down for about the past year and a half or so. Now, we're in the process of getting things up and running again, but for the time being on an every-other-Sunday afternoon schedule. Being a part of what we do comes with no particular obligation - everyone is free to come when they can, with no one getting any grief when they don't. We get together in a nicely refurbished old building near Deep Ellum and a typical session sees us with six to twelve folks. Generally, our interest is in older rock and popular stuff, but we have no rules about that. For that matter, we don't have many rules at all. In most cases, it is our singers who pick what they want us to play and we go with that. And to be clear, we are not working on "forming a band" and we are not looking to play gigs. We are all about just having fun with music. Not that experienced? No problem! Whether you were a road-weary rocker back in the day, or even if you've never yet played with others (but are thinking that you might be ready to take that next step), we would welcome you!
