A haunted history walking tour with author Jeff Provine telling Shawnee's spooky tales. Take a stroll down Main Street to hear true spooky stories of Shawnee! Stories include: ... the mysterious serial killer called the Shawnee Maniac who terrorized in the early 1900s, ... the dedicated caretaker of the Ritz Theatre still making appearances long after his passing, ... and Bo the ghost railroad dog! Our walk will meet in front of The Arts @317 on Main Street following the block party about 15 minutes before our start time to get folks checked in. The tour will last 75 to 90 minutes. Our route is all outdoors and follows public sidewalks, so it should be wheelchair accessible. Masking and vaccination are suggested. Tickets are $12, which are available in the link above. This isn't a "jump-and-scare" tour like a haunted house nor an investigation; it is a storytelling walk telling true tales researched from interviews and public archives.
