Join Sun Seed Community & FCCAN in a community ceremony space to honor & grieve bell hooks. *There will be a BIPOC-only ceremony prior. Join us for a community ceremony on Sunday April 24th from 3-5pm to honor the indomitable bell hooks and mourn her passing. We will have a community altar space set up, please feel free to bring your offerings. There will be food, music, celebration, and a guided ceremony to share a libation of words to remember and honor bell hooks. Schedule: 3pm-3:30pm BIPOC-only ceremony. 3:30-5pm Community ceremony open to all. Where: We will meet at Shelter 6 in City Park We will continue to cultivate love as the ground of our being, we will continue to learn as a means to elevate our mind, and we will continue to embrace loss as we open our hearts to our ancestors and the impermanence of all. Thank you bell for all you taught us about love, loss, and learning. This is an event done in collaboration with FCCAN's Healing justice program and Sun Seed Community, and it is a labor of LOVE.
