The ICLP Fundraiser Iftar at the Masjid for Ramadan 1443 / April 23, 2022 The Islamic Center of Lexington Park is slowly but surely moving forward as a Masjid with support of our fantastic community. Over the last very difficult 2 years, the community grew and enjoyed the addition of Imam Atir. We have seen 4 new brothers and sisters revert to Islam. We performed the Nikah for newly married couples. We have welcomed new babies to the community. We have seen the smiling faces of our children attending Sunday school with Imam Atir and have heard their sorrow when classes ended for the school year. We are now looking toward the next year and adapting to the changes. ICLP is currently in the process (slow and steady process) of studying the possibility of expansion. We have looked in to purchasing larger properties but the last property did not work out. Our current Masjid will be sufficient for the community for a long time to come, Insha'Allah.
