SMITHFIELD, RI — Smithfield is seeking candidates to establish an eligibility list for firefighter openings in town. Applicants must have a high school diploma or G.E.D, be at least 18 years old, possess a valid Operators License, old current license as an EMT in the State of Rhode Island and must be a U.S. Citizen at time of appointment. Applicants must present a current RI EMT Advanced / Cardiac or EMT-Paramedic license at time of appointment. Must provide a certificate from the RI Association of Fire Chief's showing successful completion of the physical performance assessment. Only certificates issued in 2019 or April 2020 will be accepted. To apply, see the "Full Firefighter Applicant Packet" linked here.
