New to the grant writing process? Need some help with budgets? Claim your seat today and gain the knowledge and tools to be successful! OVERVIEW: Grant budgets can be difficult to navigate if new to the grant writing process. This presentation and hands-on creation of a budget and budget justification will introduce the participant to the main budget categories allowed for both programmatic and research grants/projects. This workshop is a follow-up to Budgets 101; however, not a prerequisite for participation. Target Audience: Registered nurses and those interested in learning how to prepare a budget for research grants and projects. OBJECTIVES: Upon completion of the educational activity, the participant shall be able to: Gain knowledge of main budget categories for programmatic and research grants/projects.Understand allowable and unallowable costs for budgets.Create a budget for both types of applications using a provided budget template.Justify costs based on the proposal. Participants will earn up to 5.0 contact hours of nursing continuing professional development credit based on attendance.
