Tiling 101 - Preparation, Tools, Layout, Installation

This tiling course will start with the selection and installation of tile underlayments, the foundation for sustainable tiling projects. The class will then cover laying tile for the most popular homeowner tile projects. This will include various cutting methods and tools, proper trowel sizes and techniques, and finally grouting tips.
About the teacher:
Natalie Foy (she/her) got her start in construction in 2013 after joining AmeriCorps with Habitat for Humanity in Cincinnati. Following her year of service, Natalie joined Habitat as a construction staff member and worked as a Site Superintendent until early 2020. After working for a Cincinnati based design-build company and furthering her education, Natalie now works for a design-build company in Bloomington, Indiana where she resides with her husband and her dog.
This is a donation-based workshop. Suggested ticket donation is $25. Participants are encouraged to donate as their financial capacity allows. Do It Yourself Darlin is a program of the non-profit CDC Price Hill Will. All of DIYD’s funding comes from donations and grants.
