Build Your Garden: Raised Beds and Compost Bins**
Saturday, May 7th, 10AM-12PM
**This class can be taken as a stand-alone class, or in conjunction with the Power Tools 101 class, as these tool skills will be put to use!**
Put your power tool skills to use and learn how to build raised garden beds and compost bins! Students will receive a circular saw safety demo and will build a raised garden bed and compost bins in groups of 2-4. Just in time for all our summer gardening projects!
About the teacher:
Marie Hopkins (she/her) is the founder of Queen City Commons, a local commercial and residential composting service serving the Greater Cincinnati area. Marie is also a skilled craftswoman who has worked as a carpenter, construction supervisor, project coordinator, and installer for the past 6 years at Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati and a local Design/Build company called Margin.
This is a donation-based workshop. Suggestion ticket donation is $25. Participants are encouraged to donate as their financial capacity allows. Do It Yourself Darlin is a program of the non-profit CDC Price Hill Will. All of DIYD’s funding comes from donations and grants.
