MERRICK, NY — A school bus crashed into a building in Merrick Monday afternoon. The bus had no children on board, police said. One person was struck by the bus on Merrick Avenue and was taken to an area hospital, police said. The condition of the bus driver was not known. Police said the incident happened just after 12:30 at 29 Merrick Ave. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
