The DePaul Pop Culture Conference is an annual fan/academic convention with fun panels and exciting keynote speakers at DePaul University!
The DePaul Pop Culture Conference is an annual fan/academic convention/conference at DePaul University. We host thoughtful discussions from fans, scholars, and media makers from around the world to engage in conversation about popular culture and cult media. Each year's event is themed for an important Pop Culture moment, and this year’s conference is focused on Sherlock Holmes!
Our keynote guests are:
Arwel Wyn Jones, production designer on Sherlock (and Doctor Who, among others!)
Dr. Tom Ue from Dalhousie University and editor of the Fan Phenomena: Sherlock Holmes book,
Dr. Ashely Polasek, internationally recognized expert on Sherlock Holmes
Here you can donate to our annual charity - this year we're supporting Tŷ Hafan, children's hospice
Our event is free to attend and encourage both academic and community presentations! (Our conference books feature great essays by many of our speakers!)
