Description
Sami is a female, three year old dog who is very gentle and sensitive. When we got her last spring, we had plans to fence our yard in the summer so that she could spend time out there. Due to job losses, the fence did not happen and she is stuck indoors much more than is healthy for her. She is microchipped, spayed, and has never had fleas. She has a mean sounding bark but has never been aggressive or bitten anyone; also she only barks when she sees other dogs walking by, otherwise she is very quiet. She is great with children, but does not like our cat. Sami can get jealous when the cat gets pets and to let us know she's mad she will "leave us a deposit" in the house. On a more positive note, she will put her paw on you to tell you she needs pets, loves to fetch a ball or stick, and really loves the lake and baths. Sami can tell when you are sad and will give you extra attention. She is a very mellow, loving dog but she needs a doggie door, a fenced yard, and some minor training to break her of the house "deposits" and to stop her from jumping on people when they come through the door. Sami is used to sitting on the furniture, we don't have a problem with that but if you don't like that, that will need training as well. We were told from her previous owner that she did not get along well with the other dog in the house. As I said, Sami is a jealous dog and would be happiest if she is the only pet in a home. We would be happy to have you meet her at a local park. Our adoption fee is $75, that includes what food, treats, and leashes we have for her. She has a large cage which we would sell separate for $50 if interested. Serious inquiries only.
