Press release from the City of Spokane: 2022-03-28 Lengthy SPD drug investigation nets a huge amount of stolen property and drugs – one person arrested In the early morning hours of 03/21/2022 SPD detectives served a search warrant on a home in the 500 block of W. Britta. SPD SWAT, SIU (Special Investigations Unit) members and Hostage Negotiators attempted for several hours to get the occupants of the house to exit. Eventually after continued verbal announcements, negotiations and de-escalation efforts, the occupants of the house exited peacefully. Officers and detectives searched the house and garage and found them filled with a very large amount of stolen property worth thousands of dollar, including two stolen cars and multiple stolen firearms. Additionally detectives seized drugs including fentanyl and methamphetamine along with five motorcycles believed to be obtained through drug trafficking proceeds. Other items found include a vast collection of tools – hand and powered, an E-bike, ammunition and drug scales. SPD also seized a large trailer full of what is believed to be stolen property. 55 year old Jesse Ray Adams Jr. was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver. Additional charges are pending. Adams has 10 felony convictions including robbery and assault. This case was the result of a dedicated investigation with multiple SPD units collaborating to remove those dealing in controlled substances from our streets and interrupt the flow of dangerous drugs in our community. SPD was able to identify the owners of several high ticket stolen items, including the guitars and snow blower pictured, and return the property. SPD reminds you to keep a log of the serial numbers and unique markings of your property; in the event something is stolen, having this documentation can help police reunite property with their rightful owners.
