SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — Six roads in Santa Cruz County are closed and one is down to a single lane due to wind-related issues as of late Sunday night, the county said. Townsend Drive from Baldwin Drive to Lamonda Drive was closed after a tree fell on a home. Several trees fell on power or electricity lines, closing roads at the following locations: The 3300 block of Branciforte DriveThe 1100 block of Buena Vista DriveLa Madrona Drive, south of Sims Road (one lane is open, another is blocked by wires)Larken Valley Road, 250 yards north of Mar Monte AvenueSoquel San Jose Road, near the 5.67 mile markerValencia Road, near Valencia School RoadFor more updates, check the county's road closure website.
