Many times, we celebrate our success without being transparent about the journey it took to the get there. This event will inspire genuine connections and conversations. Join us as we share tips, tools, and resources with great music, giveaways, and great people! Event Space: The Wrkrm is the newest co-working space by designer Tacharra Perry. Speakers: Klarke Foreman is a plus size model and influencer. Klarke seeks to provide an authentic look into beauty, hair and fashion through the lenses of a black, millennial plus woman. She is also Co-owner of a digital branding company, Foundation First— a newly designed platform that provides opportunities for people to set a solid foundation in life and in business. Myosha Porterie Brown is an REI + Entrepreneur. Myosha Porterie-Brown is the ultimate girl boss. At only 30 years old, she is an enterprising real estate investor, boutique and financial services company owner, web designer and brand developer and mentor to women looking to build their own empires. Her businesses are Porterie Boutique, a modern women’s clothing boutique that has been in business for 12 seasonal releases, Porterie Web Design, a web design and consulting firm that provides web design, branding and mentorship for small businesses, Porterie Tax Solutions, a tax preparation and payroll company that serves clients nationwide, Porterie & Brown, a real estate investment company that specializes in fix and flips, buy and holds, mentorships, and new construction, and her newest business venture Porterie Hair & Skin, that she co-owns with her cousin, which is a natural hair and skincare boutique. With each goal met and new accomplishments, Myosha understands that the path she is trailblazing should make an easier route for those coming behind her. Racquel Simone was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Houston, TX. After she turned 18 she moved back to New York to pursue her dreams as an actress. There she ventured into fashion and founded a swimwear line called Destinationswimwear! After 6 years in NYC she moved back to houston and founded her own production company that specializes in creating experiences for artist in houston and around the world through Networking events, Films, and Getaway Vacations! She is known to be a social butterfly and connecting like-minded individuals together. Tacharra Perry is here to make a statement in the fashion world, and she’s doing just that. Born Tacharra Perry, the Houston native stands as a proud Black fashion designer and creative director with her own clothing line, one that stands for something greater than clothes. CHARworkroom’s designs are just moments away from taking over. From a successful debut show during NYFW in 2016—after which Jordyn Woods donned a piece fresh off the runway—to Flo Milli sporting the garb for a recent Spotify campaign, CHARworkroom (CHAR) inarguably possesses the keys to becoming an auspicious brand. Earlyssa Cooper is the First Poet Laureate of Huston-Tillotson University, a world traveler, author, and Motivational Speaker. Host: Bri'Ann Stephens is an energetic, non-stop-working, fast-speaking, God-fearing, creative woman. Since 2016 she has hosted conferences and concerts centered around providing opportunities for women. In 2018 she was featured in Forbes for her women’s activism in Houston, Texas— sharing how she used her lowest moment as fuel. Using her platforms she has been able to reach hundreds of women, which led her to being recognized and honored by the city of Houston in 2019. Currently Bri’Ann Stephens is a transformative speaker, podcast host and Co-owner of a digital branding company, Foundation First— a newly designed platform that provides opportunities for people to set a solid foundation in life and in business.
