Family-friendly outdoor event celebrating the Sail Newport community and the start of the 2022 sailing season! Please join us for Sail Newport's second annual Splash Party! This family-friendly outdoor event will be held on the north lawn adjacent to the Sailing Center (picnic table seating provided) and is a casual afternoon designed to celebrate our community and the start of the 2022 sailing season! We are pleased to feature a delicious menu from McGrath Clambakes & Catering and folk/bluegrass music by the RI band, Hollow Turtle. Additional elements to enjoy throughout the day include corn hole, giant Jenga and other yard games. Plus, Sail Newport’s own remote-controlled DF95 Fleet sailors will be demonstrating their skills and guests are welcome to try one of our demo boats as well. Guests can also opt to join us for a bevie and music for a reduced ticket price. This option is also available for walk-ins. Guests opting for "Meal, Bevie & Event" must pre-select their meal choices when purchasing tickets. 2. Walk-ins are welcome for the "Bevie & Event" ticket option. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate the "Meal, Bevie & Event" ticket option for walk-ins. 3. Alcoholic beverages cannot be brought onto the premises, though will be available for purchase. 3. Pets and service animals must be leased at all times, per the guidelines of the Department of Environmental Management and Fort Adams State Park. 4. Plenty of parking is available in the South Lot when entering the park and in the primary Fort parking area north of the Sailing Center. 5. Smoking is not allowed at the event. 6. The rain date is Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 12:00pm - 3:00pm. 7. Please note that cancellations and refunds will be accommodated anytime prior to 12noon ET on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
